Everyone's To Do Checklist

Here is a list of the camp-related actions that you'll need to take care of as soon as you can. As you already know, many of our projects and team coordinations are connected to the info you provide, so help your camp out and make sure your checklist is checked!

 

Introductions

  • If you haven't already completed the camp survey, you can do so here. Not only does this confirm your membership, but also let's us know where you're at with basic logistics.

  • After finishing the survey, be sure to head over to our Camp Roster and fill in all required fields (fun fact: every field is a required field).

  • Join our Facebook group for general group communications, communal inspiration, and some light voyeurism of fellow campmates.

 

Finances

  • Pay your share of Future Best Friends Camp Dues

  • Budget for your other expenses: for example, coffee, ice ($3/bag and you may need lots of it and cash to pay for it), any groceries, camping gear, post-burn decompression, travel to and from the event, bike (about $200 rental fee plus $100 security deposit), and of course, your Burning Man ticket!

 

 

Teams and Participation

  • Join a team or two, perhaps even lead one. Take a look at our FBF Committees to see where your support is needed. Enlist as a Team Lead or Team Member where it works best for you, and email us if you have any questions. 

  • Help make our camp a family. Have any ideas for workshops, activities, outings, or projects that we could all do together? Let us know here.

 

 

Logistics and Travel

  • Secure your Burning Man ticket

  • Secure travel to Black Rock City (via San Francisco or Reno)

  • Secure a bike for on-playa transportation

  • Secure travel in and out of the playa (our camp can help you with this)
